U20 Championship Top Performers - Round 3

Round 3 was full of surprises and it went down to the wire as a few sides were in with a chance to grab a Semi Final spot before kick off of a number of games.

 
Italy & Georgia lead the way with upsets and the former had an outside chance of making the Play Off's had results gone their way in the NZ vs Australia game and France vs South Africa. 
 
It was not to be as England, New Zealand, France and South Africa battle it out to be World Champions but here are a look at the days top performers.
 
 
 
 
Jamie Spowart (New Zealand)
 
Spowart continued his great strike rate on the wing adding to his 3 tries agaist Japan by scoring against Australia when the game was very much in the balance.
 
Cameron Woki (France)
 
Woki, often overshadowed by Joseph, was industrious and the burning light in France's incredible demolition of South Africa. Not only good on defence but incredible with ball in hand as he provided assists and more on the day
 

Sandro Svanidze (Georgia)
 
The Georgia 13 was a menace to Ireland and run some great lines and continuously was asking questions of the defence. He topped it off with a great intercept try.
 
Filippo Di Marco (Italy)
 
Di Marco pulled the strings all game for Italy and really put Argentina under pressure and ultimately guided his side to their 30-26 win 
 
 

Dewi Cross (Wales)
 
A crucial try that ended up being the match winner in a 1 point win over Japan see's Cross join this rounds top performer list
 
 
 
Gabriel Ibitoye (England)
 
Another fine performance by the England star as he scored a brace against Scotland and keeps England on track. 
 


 
James Miller (Scotland)
 
Honorable mention goes to Miller who saw his first game time of the Tournament in last nights loss to England but put in a massive shift that will have the selectors rethinking their loose trio ahead of the knock out games
