Scarlets cause upset:
The Scarlets who are 7th on the log faced 1st place Leinster today in a crucial must-win game to keep their play-off dreams alive. Head Coach Dwayne Peel said earlier in the week that his team has to ‘show a bit of character’ if they want to win against the best in-form team currently and that is exactly what they did. The Scarlets' secured their first win over Leinster since 2018, and only Leinster's 2nd loss of the season. This is a massive result for the Scarlets as they beat Leinster 35-22, while getting the full 5 match points. Scarlets outscored Leinster 4 tries to 3, converting 3 while Leinster only converted 2. They also slotted in 3 penalties compared to Leinsters 1.
They have kept their playoff dreams alive while also making history.
Stormers run riot in Cape Town:
The Stormers ran in 7 tries against Benetton in Cape Town today. They started off strong with Sazi Sandi opening the scores within 3 minutes, whilst it was a team effort, talisman Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu was the one pulling the strings. He led the team well and created many opportunities for his teammates. The fly-half racked up 26 points, had a 100% tackle success rate, 80% kick success rate, made 81 metres, beat 5 defenders, made 3 clean breaks and assisted 2 tries.
