Verblitz sign Le Roux & bring in Gert Smal

Japanese club Toyota Verblitz have announced the signing of Willie Le Roux from Wasps.

The 29-year-old Springbok fullback will join the club following the completion of this year's Rugby World Cup, and joins the likes of Reniel Hugo, Jason Jenkins, Carl Wegner, Lionel Cronjé, Clinton Swart and Gio Aplon at the club, where Jake White is the head coach.

Le Roux, who has been at Wasps since 2017, has played 53 Test matches for the Springboks.

Verblitz also confirmed that Gert Smal will join White’s management as the team’s forwards coach.
