WATCH: Saints stop Joe Simmonds from taking match winning conversion

Northampton Saints claimed a single point victory over Exeter at Sandy Park on Saturday in the Premiership.

The match came to a dramatic climax as Sam Skinner went over the try line in the 79th minute thanks to some slick handling from Stuart Hogg.

Joe Simmonds was told that if he timed his kick right, it would in fact be the end of the game.

However, the flyhalf was unable to take what would have decided the result of the game as he was judged to have moved and the Saints players pounced to shoot up and stop him from taking the kick.

Referee Christophe Ridley agreed with the Saints players that he had in fact moved and started his run up.
