Wednesday Morning Round Up

Wednesday Morning Round Up
Zac Guildford starts for the Waratahs:

Guildford has been moved into the starting line up this weekend after an impressive showing off the bench last week. The 11 time All Black came off the bench against his old side, the Crusaders, and scored a great try showing his blistering speed off the mark.

Chris Ashton turns down Saxons call up:

After missing out on the England squad to Australia, Ashton has turned down the trip to South Africa on personal grounds. The Saracens star has scored 10 tries in his last 8 games for the club and is in some form but many question his ability defensively

Israel Folau staying put, for now:

It goes without saying that the Wallaby & Waratah star has a number of lucrative offers on the table. In 2015, he signed one-year contract with a one-year option with the NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes in Japan but did not play due to injury. This season, however, is in doubt too as his side was relegated from the Top 14 last season.

He must now decide whether he will take up the option for the second season with the Red Hurricanes, who will play in the second-tier Top West competition.
