Irate Bath fan confronts ref in dressing room

A red card for Bath's Anthony Watson caused controversy during the most anticipated match of the weekend. Saracens were leading 18-3 when Watson was sent off for an ill timed aerial challenge on Alex
Goode. While a poll run by BT Sport Rugby indicated that the majority of fans believed it was an unfair call, by the letter of the law, Greg Garner was correct to hand out the red card.

A Bath supporter was clearly intent on getting his opinion heard and stormed the official's dressing room after the match. In a statement released over the weekend, the club and the RFU acknowledged the incident and will be launching an investigation into how the fan was able to bypass security.

Brumbies David Pocock was cited for foul play during their Super Rugby match against Chiefs this weekend.  Pocock is alleged to have grasped the neck of Chiefs #8 Michael Lietch during a maul in the 74th minute of the match.

Oyonnax's Silvère Tian faces lengthy ban for swearing at ref

Referee Romain Poite was forced to send Tian off during a match against Grenoble, after the fullback told the match referee he was sh*t.  Tian was reacting to a yellow card handed out for infringing at a ruck inside his own 22.  Poite immediately sent the player off but Tian had to be prevented from confronting the official again after the full-time whistle had blown. The fullback had to be physically restrained and now faces a possible years-long ban.
