Western Province hit by injury

Western Province has been hit by injury ahead of their first Currie Cup match of 2018. 

Hooker Ramone Samuels and utility forward Johan du Toit are set to miss the defending champions entire campaign due to long-term injuries.

Samuels was injured in Western Province’s warm-up game against Montpellier last Thursday, while Du Toit has been sidelined once again with a serious knee injury. Both players will undergo surgery.

There is also some concern over a neck injury recently suffered by Cobus Wiese and a hip injury sustained by Jean-Luc du Plessis.
