Will Simonds signs new deal with Wasps

Wasps have announced that centre Will Simonds has extended his contract with the Club.

The 21-year-old joined Wasps’ Senior Academy ahead of the 2018/19 season and progressed into the senior squad in July 2020.

The Wasps Under 18s graduate has played four times for the Wasps first team, including making his Premiership debut in the memorable away win at Saracens in September 2020.

The Wasps AASE Programme graduate made his European debut for the Club away at Agen in January 2020, before spending time out on loan in the Championship with Nottingham Rugby.

Simonds has also represented England Under 18s and been included in training squads with England Under 20s.

Wasps Rugby Men’s Head Coach Lee Blackett said: “We are very pleased that Will has agreed a new contract with us.

“Will is a very promising player, but he has had a few unfortunate injuries in his young career, that have hampered his game time. We are confident he can put them behind him, and we will see him flourish in our exciting backline in the coming season.

“We are all looking forward to seeing him develop further in the coming years.”
