Women’s World Rugby Rankings update

Women’s World Rugby Rankings update

England remain number one in the World Rugby Women’s Rankings. Canada are second and New Zealand are third. The Red Roses’ advantage has been built on consistent results across the Six Nations and their northern hemisphere schedule, while Canada’s recent form has kept them ahead of the Black Ferns despite tight rating gaps.

The top end of the women’s table has settled into a clear shape, but there is movement underneath. France continue to track the leading trio closely, and a handful of nations are within reach of the next rung with a couple of strong wins. With more cross-regional fixtures on the slate, the next block of tests will offer direct opportunities to close the gap.

For teams outside the top three, the path upward is straightforward but demanding: win against those directly above you and protect home advantage. With the calendar offering several of those chances in the coming weeks, expect small but meaningful shifts rather than wholesale change.
