Delany was selected by Ireland Coach Adam Griggs to make her test debut in their first 2018 November International versus the United States on Sunday at Energia Park.
Her selection came after some standout work at a summer selection day held in the UK from which she was selected into the senior side for the November internationals. Lauren, who is Dublin born but lives and works in England started at fullback.
In January 2019, she was named in the Ireland Women squad for the 2019 Six Nations.
Ahead of the 2020 Women's Six Nations, Delany was once again named for the Ireland squad. She has had 5 appearances and will look to add to this total.
