Hugh McMeniman

1st Nov 1983 2.00m/114kg No 5 Lock

The big man from Queensland's favoured position is on the blindside but often finds himself operating in the second row. In either position he presents a dynamic ball carrying ability unmatched by many across Australia. The Nudgee College graduate began his professional career with the Reds, making his Super Rugby debut in 2005. Four years later, having already broken into the Wallabies squad in 2006, McMeniman opted to spend two years in Japan with the Kubota Spears. Having been plagued with injury, McMeniman returned to Australia and took up a contract with the Western Force for the 2013 Super Rugby season.
