An experienced forward with good speed,and a powerful running styke, Stefano Cakau is an integral part of the Fijian sevens side. With some stand-out performances for Prisons in the 2003 BP 7s Series, Cakau worked his way into the Fiji 7s team for Brisbane and Wellington of that year. After a three-year absence, the Namosi flanker returned to the fold, and has since confirmed his status as one of the best defenders on the sevens circuit.
