Centre or winger Andres Vilaseca is the brother of Uruguay skipper Santiago Vilaseca. Andres along with his brother were born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay.

He was named in Uruguay's squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Andres was named again the the squad that travelled to Japan in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Vilaseca signed for RC Vannes in the French Pro D2 division. In his first season in 2022, he played 17 matches and scored 3 tries.

He is one of the more experienced players in the Uruguayan squad with 8 RWC caps to his name.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Vilaseca has been named in the squad for Uruguay.
