Jones made his First Grade debut for the Rats in the Shute Shield in 2014, the same year he represented in the Australian Youth Olympics and NSW Waratahs Sevens World Series teams.
The utility back was recognised at the 2016 Sydney Rugby Union Awards as the leading try-scorer in the Shute Shield with 16 tries.
In 2017 he was called to form part of the Waratah’s Extended Playing Squad in 2017.
