Justine Lucas

Lucas took up rugby at the age of 20 in her final year at Loughborough University, where she was studying a degree in Sports Science and Maths.

She was named the university’s players’ player in 2011 before heading to Lichfield where she became the best newcomer in 2012 and the most improved player of 2013.

Lucas scored her only England try to date in the 42-13 win over Scotland in the 2015 Six Nations and played in all five matches for the triumphant side in this year’s tournament.

Born in Stevenage and schooled at Knights Templar in Baldock, she played county hockey and also represented her college at football.

Ahead of the 2017 Women's World Cup, Lucas has earned 22 caps for England.
