Fumat started his career at Lembeye, a small club in Pau before joining the senio set-up in 2005 at just 17 years of age.
During his time at the Pyrenees based club, Fumat has won the 2015 Pro D2 championship that saw his club promoted to the top-tier of French rugby after 9 years in the league.
He is a match day regular under New Zealander Simmon Mannix featuring 10 times in last season's Top 14.
