Rhun Williams

5th Jun 1997 1.89m/90kg Fullback

Williams is a Welsh fullback who has started his professional career when he joined Cardiff Blues, after proudly representing Wales U/18 in South Africa in 2016.

One year on and Williams continued to perform for the Cardiff Academy side and earned a spot in the under-20 squad for the under-20 Six Nations 2017.

Rhun became a matchday regular for Cardiff Blues in the 2018 season. After training with Wales during the November internationals, a summer call-up to the senior Wales squad was unluckily squandered by injury.

Graduating through the RGC pathway in North Wales originally, he was the breakout star of the 2016 U20 Six Nations, before moving down to Cardiff for last season.

In October 2017, Williams was awarded with a long-term contract with the Blues after an impressive breakthrough into the senior squad.

In March 2020 the fullback was forced to retire after failing to recover from the neck injury he sustained against Zebre in 2018.
