Abraham Pole suspended for three weeks
- 1059
The Super Rugby Pacific Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) has found Moana Pasifika prop Abraham Pole guilty of dangerous play in a ruck in contravention of Law 9.20a.
Pole received a yellow card and was subsequently cited for the incident that occurred in the 59th minute as the Hurricanes defeated Moana Pasifika on 31 May 2025.
The FPRC determined the act of foul play merited a mid-range entry point of six weeks/matches.
In light of the player accepting he committed an act of foul play as well as mitigating factors such as his disciplinary record, the FPRC applied the full 50 per cent reduction in sanction.
*Pole was also given permission to apply to take part in World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme as a substitute for the final match of the sanction.
Pole has been suspended from all forms of the game for three weeks, which will apply to the following Otago Club Rugby - Metro Division 1 matches:
- Harbour v Zingari Richmond, Saturday 14 June 2025
- Harbour v Kaikorai, Saturday 21 June 2025
- Green Island v Harbour, Saturday 28 June 2025*
