Gloucester Rugby medical update

Gloucester Rugby’s Head of Medical, Rhys Hughes, has provided a medical update following a number of players being currently unavailable for selection.

Jack Singleton

Gloucester Rugby can sadly confirm that hooker Jack Singleton will not feature for an extended period of time.

Following a cardiac event in September, Jack has been undergoing a comprehensive period of medical testing in consultation with cardiac specialists.

Jack will continue to receive full support from the Gloucester Rugby medical team.

Arthur Clark

Vice-Captain Arthur Clark sustained a foot injury during training which has since required surgery. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the medical team.

Jack Clement

Jack Clement suffered an ankle injury during the Gallagher PREM opener against Sale Sharks. The back-rower has undergone successful surgery and has begun his rehabilitation with Gloucester Rugby’s medical staff.

Danny Eite

Danny Eite continues his recovery from an ACL injury sustained last season. His rehabilitation remains on track.

Jamal Ford-Robinson

Jamal Ford-Robinson underwent knee surgery over the summer and is making encouraging progress in his recovery.

Josh Hathaway

Josh Hathaway is recovering from an ankle injury sustained during pre-season. He is expected to return in the coming weeks.

Lewis Ludlow

Lewis Ludlow sustained a thumb injury in the opening game of the season and has since undergone surgery. He is now in recovery.

Val Rapava-Ruskin

Val Rapava-Ruskin is managing a recurring knee issue, which continues to be carefully monitored by the medical team.

Rob Russell

New signing Rob Russell picked up a calf injury during pre-season training. He is currently recovering and expected to return to training in the coming weeks.

Ben Redshaw

Ben Redshaw fractured his ankle while on England U20s duty following the 2024/25 campaign. The young fullback has now returned to light training.

Olly Allport, George Barton, Will Butler, Max Llewellyn, Kirill Gototvsev, George Knowles.
