Match report | Scarlets fall to powerful Stormers
- 984
It was a one sided match in Wales as the Stormers beat the Scarlets 0-34 in round three of the URC. The visitors scored five tries, converted three and kicked one penalty.
In the first half the Stormers defence kept the Scarlets out and Dwayne Peel's men started to play deeper but that only made it worse. A few times the Scarlets worked themselfs into the Stormers 22 but never walked away with any points.
At half time, the penalty count was 15-1 against the Scarlets.
The Stormers were dominant in the scrums and Sazi Sandi and Ali Vermaak were the men driving that scrum. At the back of the Stormers scrum, Paul de Villiers was massive in defence and Evan Roos was all over the park. For the Scarlets, hooker Marnus van der Merwe stood out.
The Stormers travel to Zebre in round four while the Scarlets play the Lions in South Africa!
