Powerful Wallaby prop keen for new chapter

Powerful Australian prop Taniela Tupou has expressed a desire to take on a new challenge after the 2023 World Cup.

The news is not good for the Wallabies who require their representatives to ply their trade within the borders of the country.

Tupou would not have any issue finding a new job, as his prodigious skills and physical strength are sought after the world over.

Speaking to Wide World of Sports, Tupou said:

"They've (Rugby Australia) approached me wanting me to stay here for a few more years.

"I've got this year and next year so I'm in no rush to sign a deal. Now that I have a family I'll do what's best for myself and my family, if that means staying or going somewhere else."

At just 25, Tupou’s best years are still ahead of him and he has stated in the past that he “100 percent” wants to play overseas at some stage of his career.

"I think I'm ready for a change. I've been in the same place for nearly nine years now so I'm keen to see and challenge myself somewhere else now. We'll see what happens."
