Harlequins Bid Farewell To 22 Players
- 424
Harlequins can today confirm the senior and academy players who will depart the Club at the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
As in previous seasons, supporters will have the opportunity to thank the departing players at Saturday’s Round 18 fixture against Northampton Saints at The Stoop (Saturday 6 June, KO 15:15).
As previously announced, former captain and Gallagher PREM winner Stephan Lewies will depart after making 88 appearances across seven seasons in the Quarters.
Gallagher PREM winner and Club centurion, Tom Lawday, will also leave the Club at the conclusion of the campaign, having made 104 appearances since arriving in 2019.
Jordan Els, also a league champion, departs The Stoop after 54 appearances since joining the Club in 2020.
Meanwhile, Joe Launchbury will retire from professional rugby after 17 years at the top level of the game, having made 51 appearances during his time in South West London.
Wales international Jarrod Evans also moves on from The Stoop following 48 appearances across three seasons in TW2.
A trio of former academy graduates - Jamie Benson (42 apps), Jake Murray (20 apps) and Hayden Hyde (19 apps) - will also move on at the end of the season.
Max Green will conclude his second spell at the Club after making 18 appearances, while George Turner departs following a single season and 12 appearances in Quins colours.
Joe Jones (5 apps) and Jack Grant (3 apps) will also leave The Stoop after joining mid-season as short-term cover in key positions.
Cameron Doak (2 apps), Jack Doorey-Palmer (2 apps), Luke Yendle (2), Conor Byrne (1 app), Andrew Turner, Felix Champain, Guy Rogers, Math Jones, Mattias Woollard and Tom Humphreys will also depart at the conclusion of the season.
Head Coach, Jason Gilmore, said: “This point in the season is always emotional and can be difficult, because it gives us the opportunity to recognise and thank players who have made a huge contribution to Harlequins during their time at the Club.
“Each of these players has represented Quins with commitment, professionalism and pride, giving everything for the jersey and for their teammates. They should all be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved and the impact they’ve had on and off the field.
“We’ll come together as a group to celebrate and thank our departing players, and supporters will also have the chance to say their goodbyes at The Stoop on Saturday (06 June) following our fixture against Northampton Saints.”
