Harlequins announce that Joe Launchbury has signed a contract extension with the Club.
The England international joined Quins in 2023, having been part of the Harlequins Academy in his youth, and has since made 42 appearances in the Quarters.
With 70 international caps to his name and having captained Wasps in the Gallagher Premiership, Launchbury is a highly experienced player, who commands respect with the way he conducts himself in training and on the pitch.
Launchbury has been an important figure in the Harlequins pack and played a key role as a mentor for a number of younger players breaking through into the First Team squad.
"I'm thrilled to have extended my contract with Quins. I have really enjoyed representing this famous club with such a rich history in the game,” said Launchbury.
“We've got an incredibly determined group of players and staff at the Club and so much potential in this group. I am excited to be a part of that journey, helping the squad in any way I can. I look forward to playing in front of our amazing fans again next season at The Stoop.”
Harlequins Head Coach, Danny Wilson added: “Joe has a wealth of experience at the elite level of the game, which is invaluable in any team environment both on and off the pitch. He’ll continue to serve as great mentor to our younger players.”
“When called upon this season he’s continued to perform at a high-level and his leadership qualities have shone through. We’re delighted Joe will remain at The Stoop for the 2025/26 season.”
The Club have also today confirmed fellow senior forwards Jack Musk and Jordan Els have agreed extensions to remain at The Stoop through 2025/26.
