Tim Cardall re-signs with Newcastle Falcons

Lock-forward Tim Cardall has signed up for another season with Newcastle Falcons.

The 28-year-old has scored one try in 16 appearances since joining two years ago from Melbourne Rebels, with the former Wasps and Nottingham man battling back from a foot injury.

Speaking on his new deal, Cardall said: “I’m really happy to be staying here at Newcastle Falcons for next season.

“Last season came with its fair share of challenges due to injury, but I’m excited to be part of this team as we head into what promises to be an exciting time for the club.”

Director of rugby Steve Diamond said: “Tim has had to be patient through injury but has worked really hard during a difficult year.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the impact he can have for us on the field.”
