UBB too strong as Bristol put up a fight

Union Bordeaux Bègles battle through a tough second half to finish first in Pool 4. 

The ball drops kept coming for Bristol in the second half, but instead of costing them at the back, they were forced to rue missed chances going forward.

Ellis Genge was one who failed to dot down due to the slippery ball from agonisingly close. 

But Benhard Janse van Resnburg did manage to get one over just past the hour mark to bring the hosts to within one score.

The Bristolians warmed up further the more the clock ticked.

A penalty apiece meant UBB led by five going into the last five minutes, the Bordeaux side kicked on when it mattered most. 

Quiet for most of the half, Bielle-Biarrey showed no signs of fatigue on 79 minutes when he completed his hat-trick.
