
Ethan Roots was called into the Crusaders squad following an impressive debut Mitre 10 Cup season for North Harbour in 2019.
The former Rosmini College student is an East Coast Bays representative, and was part of the club side that won the senior championship in 2019.
A strong, abrasive loose forward/lock option, and adds value and versatility to an already strong Crusaders loose forward ranks.
Roots is also a former New Zealand teenage Jiu Jitsu representative.
Roots made his Super Rugby debut in 2020 against the Highlanders
