James started representing Queensland from a young age in the Queensland Schoolboys U16s Side. From there he made the Queensland Schoolboys side as an unpredictable flyhalf in 2012.
He is strong in defense with Australia U20s Backs Coach, Shane Arnold impressed by his tenacity at the Oceania Rugby Junior Championship in May 2015.
Aside from his dedication to Rugby, James is studying a Bachelor of Business at the University of Queensland.
