New deal for Fofana: Clermont and France centre Wesley Fofana has signed a new deal with the club which whill take him through to 2019. Fofana's contract was set to run out in the summer of next year but he has been quick to tie down his future with Clermont. The 27 year old came through the academy at Clermont and has no plans to leave the club, a proud Fofana stated to the club's website.
Fitzpatrick to Retire: Ulster and Ireland prop Declan Fitzpatrick is set to retire from the game due to medical advice. Ulster have announced Fitzpatrick had "experienced a number of concussive episodes" in recent seasons, and his symptoms were "progressively slower to resolve". The 31 year old was referred to a neurologist and after tests was advised for his long term future to hang up the boots. Fitzpatrick made 98 apperances for Ulster and also made 7 caps for Ireland.
