Moody ruled out after nasty eye injury

The All Blacks have been hit with an injury blow ahead of the match anticipated test against England with first-choice loosehead prop Joe Moody suffering a gruesome eye injury in training.

The prop was seen clutching a bandage over his left eye during a training session on Tuesday, and there was some serious bruising following the injury.

During the training session, he was attended to by team doctor Tony Page, before leaving the field and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the November Tests.

The 30-year-old Crusader did not appear to have full vision in his left eye.

World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year nominee Karl Tuinukuafe is likely to start against England with Ofa Tuungafasi and Nepo Laulala providing cover on both sides of the scrum on the bench.

Angus Ta'avao has since been called up to the squad to provide cover.
