PRO14 Dream Team Announced

The PRO14 has announced the team of the year with media from across all five countries including former players and coaches voted for the Guinness PRO14 Dream Team 2019/20.

Players needed to appear a minimum of 8 appearances during the current campaign. In total, seven teams are represented in the Dream Team selection with Edinburgh leading the way with six selections, finalists Leinster have three, their opponents Ulster have two players in the team with Dragons, Toyota Cheetahs, Benetton Rugby and Cardiff Blues all earning one spot each.

Three Leinster forwards make the team with none of the Ulster pack making the final cut. Scott Fardy is joined by Leinster youngsters Max Deegan and Will Connors in the side while losing semi-finalists, Edinburgh, have three forwards in the XV with Bill Mata joined by Grant Gilchrist and Pierre Schoeman.

Schoeman is joined in the front row by Cheetahs' hooker Joseph Dweba and Dragons prop Leon Brown. 

John Cooney is one of two Ulster players to make the side and is joined by Edinburgh flyhalf Jaco van der Walt. Edinburgh speedsters Duhan van der Merwe and Blair Kinghorn feature in the back three along with Benetton's Monty Ioane while the team is rounded out with Stuart McCloskey and Rey Lee-Lo in the centres.
