Ulster have been awarded a 28 to 0 victory and full points after EPCR confirmed their Challenge Cup match against the Cheetahs in the Netherlands will not be replayed. The fixture was called off due to freezing conditions and an unplayable pitch.
The match was originally scheduled for Amsterdam before being moved south to s Hertogenbosch and brought forward to earlier in the day. Despite those changes, further snowfall and low temperatures led the referee to rule the surface unsafe for players.
EPCR later confirmed the game was cancelled and awarded Ulster a bonus point win under competition regulations. Ulster said they were disappointed the match could not go ahead but supported the decision in the interest of player safety.
The result lifts Ulster into second place in Pool Three and secures their place in the round of 16. The Cheetahs remain without points after three matches.
