Woodward returns to start for PREM Cup final

Leicester Tigers have named their side for the PREM Rugby Cup final at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday afternoon.

The fixture is the first home final in over 113 years and tickets are still available to watch history in the making. It Means More with a trophy on the line in front of our home fans. Don’t miss out.

Harry Palmer continues his perfect record of appearing in every round of the competition this season alongside Tommy Reffell (who also captains the side) and Joaquin Moro. The Argentine extended his contract at the club this week, and is in line to win his 20th cap for the club and earn a club tie.

Charlie Clare and Hanro Liebenberg are the two changes to the pack in place of Jamie Blamire and Tom Manz respectively. Osian Thomas comes onto the bench.

In the backline, Joseph Woodward comes in for Tom Threlfall, with the move seeing Orlando Bailey line up at fullback and Woodward come into the midfield.

Geoff Parling said, “This home final is testament to the hard work from both staff and players throughout the various Prem Cup blocks and we aim to put the best of ourselves out there on Sunday.”

“It’s pleasing to see the progression of our youngsters as the season has gone on, the number of debuts we have had, and how many homegrown players are in our matchday twenty-three.”
