Pierre Mignoni

Mignoni began his professional career at Toulon in 1996 before moving to Béziers. He returned to Toulon in 1999 and later played for Dax and Béziers again. His most significant club tenure was with Clermont (formerly AS Montferrand) from 2003 to 2009, where he became a fan favorite and won the European Challenge Cup in 2007. He concluded his playing career with a final stint at Toulon from 2009 to 2011.

Internationally, Mignoni earned 28 caps for France between 1997 and 2007, participating in two Rugby World Cups (1999 and 2007) and winning Six Nations Grand Slams in 1997 and 2002.

After retiring from playing, Mignoni transitioned into coaching. He served as Toulon's backs coach from 2011 to 2015 before becoming head coach of Lyon in 2015. Under his leadership, Lyon achieved significant success, including a Top 14 final appearance in 2021 and qualification for the Champions Cup.

In 2022, Mignoni returned to Toulon as head coach, aiming to restore the club's former glory. He led Toulon back into the Top 14 playoffs and the Champions Cup, earning a contract extension through 2029.
