Billy Holland

A son of former Munster team manager and Irish international Jerry, Holland has played Ireland U19/21s and made his competitive debut for Munster in September 2007 and was promoted to a full contract in summer 2009.

He played on the Munster side narrowly defeated by New Zealand in 2008 and played a central role in the defeat of the touring Australians two years later.

Captained the winning British & Irish Cup side in 2012. Billy featured in all of Munster's RaboDirect PRO12 games for season 2012/13, starting in 14 and coming on as a replacement in 8.

One of Munster's standout players in 2015/16, he captained the side on seven occasions and was nominated for Munster Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.

In October 2016, Holland was named in the Irish Squad ahead of the November Internationals. Holland was named in the starting line up for the November International against Canada, making his international debut.

Holland has one solitary cap for Ireland.

He enters the 2018/19 season having represented Munster 188 times and scoring 15 points.

As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Holland has had 30 European Cup appearances.
