Born in Croydon, England, Daly is a supremely talented footballer who can operate at either fullback or centre and has occasionally found himself on the wing.
Blessed with pace to burn and dazzling footwork, Daly has forged himself a reputation as one of the English game's rising stars since his debut in 2010 in the Premiership with Wasps.
Since making his debut Daly has represented the Saxons as well as the Barbarians invitational side. A great 2015 and 2016 season with Wasps saw him included in England's 6 Nations squad for that year.
Daly was a good enough cricketer to have represented England Under-15 but has had to wait patiently for a Twickenham starting chance despite his outstanding form for Wasps over the past year. Daly was handed his first start at outside centre for the Autumn International against South Africa.
Excelling in high profile matches, alongside two fine seasons for Wasps, launched Elliot Daly into the England squad for the 2016 RBS 6 Nations Championship. He was a travelling reserve for the opening game against Scotland at Murrayfield and made his debut in the third match of the tournament against Ireland at Twickenham.
Daly was a member of the tour to Australia in the 2016 Summer tour. Making 2 appearances off the bench in the 2nd and 3rd games before his first start as centre against the Springboks in the Autumn. Scored a first try the following week with dazzling footwork that bewitched Fiji's defense
In 2013 he was part of the Barbarians side that took on the tourists in Hong Kong on the first leg of their Tour to Australia - he even kicked a penalty in the defeat, joining Riki Flutey in an elite club to have played for & against the Lions.
In April 2017, Daly was included in the British & Irish Lions squad to tour New Zealand, which was his first Tour. Thrown in his ability to cover full-back and his weapon of a left boot that can kick goals from inside his own half, and it is not hard to see why Jones labelled him a 'Swiss Army knife' and why Gatland could not overlook.
In August 2017, Daly signed a new deal at Wasps, having started every Test for the British and Irish Lions against the All Blacks over the 2017 summer.
Having represented England at every age level, Daly made his senior international debut against Ireland during the 2016 RBS 6 Nations and his monster left boot and versatility in the backline have established him as a valuable player in any international squad.
Daly, named for the 2019 Six Nations squad has had 9 previous 6 Nations appearances scoring 52 points.
In February 2019 Wasps confirmed that Daly would leave the club at the of the 2018/19 season and signed for Saracens. As of 4 February, Daly has scored 404 points in 188 appearances for Wasps.
