Making his Currie Cup debut for the Cheetahs in 2004, the fullback/winger headed over to Rotherham in 2005 for four seasons. 2009 saw Claasens moving to London Welsh where the utility back scored 33 tries in 48 appearances. Contracted to Worcester for two seasons in June 2011, Errie then signed with Bristol in 2013.
