A tremendous scrummager, since his Scotland debut in 2005, Murray has been a cornerstone of the Scottish team. Euan’s stellar reputation in Europe was confirmed when he was selected for the 2009 Lions tour of South Africa. However, Euan missed the entirety of the tour due to injury. Murray began his rugby career with Glasgow Hawks before signing his first professional deal with Glasgow Warriors in 2003. Murray spent four impressive years with the Warriors, attracting the interest of English side The Northampton Saints who he signed for in 2007. Murray made sixty one appearances for the Saints in three years, winning the 2009 Amlin Challenge Cup, before, in 2010, he joined the Newcastle Falcons. Murray’s nomadic career continued after his two year tenure with Newcastle ended in 2012. Murray subsequently signed for French side Agen, where he only made eight appearances before joining Worcester Warriors in November 2012. Murray, currently holds 62 caps for Scotland and has caps for Scotland U-18, U-19 and U-21 level. In 2014, the Stalwart rejoined Glasgow where he currently holds 84 caps. Murray has once again been named in the Scottish squad for the upcoming Six Nations Championship in 2015.
