Coming out of Scots College first five eight Tennessee 'TJ' Va'a was named in the NZ U20 side that took part in the U20 World Rugby Junior Championship in 2016
He was called into the Hurricanes Super Rugby squad in 2015 but injuries throughout his two-year tenure in side hindered the youngster chances to make his mark.
He was excluded from the Hurricanes 2017 Super Rugby squad due to a knee injury and will be looking to reclaim his spot during the Wellington Lion's Mitre 10 Cup season.
Va'a's 2017 Mitre 10 Cup form led to a recall into the Hurricanes 2018 Super Rugby squad, he is still yet to make his Super Rugby debut.
