Cardiff-born prop Ioan
Emanuel joined Millfield
in Lower Sixth, where he
studied Business Studies,
Geography and History at A
level.
He contributed to a recordbreaking 2022/23 year for
Millfield, forming part
of the teams that won a
record eighth St. Joseph’s
Festival title and also
clinched the inaugural
Schools Championships after
defeating Sedbergh at the
World Schools Festival in
Thailand.
Ioan is the older brother to
Steffan, who is also in the
Wales U20 squad. He began
his rugby journey with
Llanwit Fardre before joining
Bath Academy at U18s
