Jonathan Danty

7th Oct 1992 1.81m/110kg Outside Centre

Danty is a powerful and exciting centre that has the ability to use his pace as well as his stocky frame to torment defenders. With 10 French U20 caps and well over 100 caps for Stade Francais, he has made a name for himself in the game. Guy Noves selected him for his 2016 Six Nations preliminary squad.

In June 2016 he was selected in the France 28-man squad for their tour of Argentina.

After earning four caps in 2016, Danty had a long wait of four years before he played again for France. He returned in November 2020 to play in the Autumn Nations Cup against Italy, scoring his first test try. During France's 2021 tour of Australia, Danty assisted Gabin Villiere in getting two tries in the first test, resulting from his great handling skills. Although les Bleus lost that match, Danty again impressed a week later, levelling the series.

In July 2021, Danty left for La Rochelle. He debuted for his new club the following September in the Top14 against Biarritz.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Danty has been named to play for France.
