Director of Sport - Wright-Akeli is an experienced campaigner who has already seen her fair share of
being on the road for rugby. She captained her 1 XV at Mt Albert Grammar School where she now works
as it’s Director of Rugby. Wright-Akeli showed promise during these formative years where she was
selected for the Moana Pasifika 7s and the NZ Schools Condor teams. Four seasons in the Farah Palmer
Cup has certainly helped her growth, turning out for three different Provincial Unions namely Tasman,
Canterbury and her home city of Auckland. She debuted in 2023 at the WXV2 tournament in Sth Africa
having come straight from France where she was playing for the NZ Universities 7s side.
