Leva Fifita

29th Jul 1989 1.93m/116kg No 5 Lock

A late bloomer, Leva Fifita only started his professional career at age 26.

The older brother of All Black Vaea Fifita, Leva is a similar player to his brother with an uncompromising approach to the game from second row and the blindside of the scrum.

He represented New Zealand side Waikato in the Mitre 10 Cup before joining Grenoble as a medical joker. He remained at the club for four seasons where he made 65 appearances.

Fifita started all of Tonga's matches at the Rugby World Cup in Japan in 2019 taking his test cap tally to 19.

In May 2021, he signed with Connacht.
