A fantastic victory for Clermont despite a valiant effort by Leinster to get back into the game after their slow start. Leinster will rue that opening 20 minutes to the match as it left them with a mountain to climb to move through to the final phase of the competition. Lopez was the hero for the home side today, showing that he is more than capable of managing a game in the stressful situations. His two drop-goals were the difference between the sides today.

Ask schmdt. Wouldn't be crazy to think he'd pick an out of form player.

Hard luck Leinster. They weren't clinical today - great pity as would have liked an Irish presence in the final.

Hope Clermont win. Genuine Club with genuine fans. Not a totally bought team like Sarries

😩😩😩 unlucky Leinster. Still have a lot to play for in pro12. Very exciting team to watch from a Connaught fan

Lots of Irish skill and heart. Not enough POWER

Aidan if he needs to be on Leinster's bench then does he even deserve to be a regular in Ireland's matchday squad?

both munster and leinster did well but were beaten on the day by teams playing better. credit to irish rugby. roll on the Lions

I'd take squeaky BoD over no-clue Barnes any day!!

Yes. Sarries to win. They are awesome.
