Full time at Sandy Park and Exeter Chiefs are the LV= Cup Champions of 2014! An excellent defensive display from the Chiefs saw them claim victory in what was a tightly contested 80 minutes. There were points in the game when you thought that one team was gaining momentum only for that momentum to reverse in an instant, no team at any point was able to fully dominate proceedings.Northampton played some very exciting rugby throughout and were unlucky at points not to be leading. Dean Mumm's try in the second half was thought to be a turning point only for the saints to come storming back in the last 15 minutes. 80 minutes of entertaining rugby from a neutral perspective! Congratulations to Exeter Chiefs on their win and our condolences to the Saints. That's all from us here but please tune in again soon for some more live rugby coverage.

Yes Exeter !

Mumm is just a couple of minutes away from leading this Exeter team to what would be a memorable victory, which certainly hasn't come with its share of pressure being exerted on the hosts. Mallinder will know that on another day, his side would have already tucked away some of the chances they've received, but very particular lapses in concentration may have blocked the route.

Drama hits Sandy Park after Slade swings a crucial, crucial penalty onto the post, leaving the Saints with a lifeline as we head into the final five minutes. The visitors were penalised for not rolling away at the ruck, and just about cling onto some hope of winning.

72 minutes gone and its Cheifs LO on the Saints 22m. The maul is set and saints are penalised for collapsing. Slade looks to the posts

TRY SAINTS.Samu Manoa finally gets his breakthrough, and he's been knocking on the door all day. A brilliantly floated pass from Dickson goes over Exeter's heads in their own 22, and the committed numbers leave Manoa to trot over, almost unopposed. Dickson can't add the extras from the tee.

Saints are really turning up the heat now and Slade is finding himself put under more and more pressure, more as a result of poor passing movement through the Exeter line than anything else. Northampton are able to press, put the No. 10 under pressure, and they're gaining ground through turnovers and penalties. Ten minutes left for the visitors to turn this one around.
