Touch-judge spots Payne impeding a Leinster player and informs the referee. Payne is served a yellow card after five minutes of extra time. Madigan boots the ball downfield to relieve pressure. Conway provides the chase but collides with Jackson in the air and is penalised. Ulster immediately point to the posts and Pienaar succeeds from close to the half-way.

Tom Court in all sorts of trouble

Ulster pick up a second try, courtesy of backrow replacement Henderson. The visitors surge into the Leinster twenty-two; Gilroy and Trimble really testing the Leinster defences as they tear down the fringes and dance around defenders. Ulster swipe the ball from side to side and eventually Trimble finds the opening. He's brought to ground inches from the line. Pienaar delivers it to Henderson on the blindside and he slides over in the corner.

Trimble sparks a move down the right hand touch-line. He cuts back inside but collides with Ross and Healy and is brought to ground. Ross grasps at the ball but is adjudged not to have released. Referee penalises and Pienaar converts. The gap closes to one point.
