New Zealand take a 17-3 lead over South Africa into halftime. South Africa started strongly, kicking an early penalty for a 3-0 lead, but missing a second attempt midway through the half. Momentum swung in the All Blacks favour, with a penalty levelling the scores before some New Zealand class saw them run in two tries in quick succession to surge into a 14 point lead.
