The ref sounds his whistle bringing this tightly contested encounter to a close. And it is Saracens that emerge as victors this afternoon and secure the final place in Franklins Gardens. A highly impressive second-half performance was enough to seal the victory at the Allianz Stadium today. For Saints, bitter disappointment to switch off in the first 20 minutes of the second half and let Saracens back into the game.

But that marks the end of Ultimate Rugby's coverage of this epic encounter. Hope you all enjoyed it.

2 minutes left in this encounter. I have a feeling Saracens will keep this tight.

Saracens have the ball in a promising position. They find themselves just inside the Saints' 22.
