PS Much to admire about Munster Rugby but not so some of their fans unfortunately.

Congratulations Ulster for one of your best performances this season. Great send off for Wilson & Pienar and deserved win. I too think the IRFU definitely got it wrong blocking Ruan from staying. Leinster were sloppy today and paid the price. In fairness Ulster wanted it more and Leinster had already qualified but Leinster had enough ball to win but threw it away or knocked on. Looking forward to the semis it could be an All Ireland final in which case I hope Leinster win just to stick it to the arrogant Mikes of this world. COYBIB.

Niall, totally agree with your points... very well made, but it's a pity, because when you look at the Ulster squad, backs especially, it has real potential. I'm a Leinster fan aswell by the way, but I also support Liverpool, which I suspect is a lot like supporting Ulster..

Leinster fan here (I'll admit my biases straight up), IRFU reasoning behind Pienaar saga is wrong, so I'm happy for him and Wilson to get a good send off. However I can't help noticing the post-match pats on the back from the Ulster players after winning what is, in the cold light of day, a dead rubber. Brings back memories of the celebrations after qualifying for the 2012 Heineken Final, like they were just happy to be there. Similarly, in the same fixture at the end of last season, delighted with themselves after beating Lesinter in Ravenhill before being beaten in the semi in the RDS a week or two later. I have massive respect for Ulster and they have an incredible squad (especially backs when fully fit), but from the outside they seem to be unable to push eachother the extra mile. Passionate BBCNI commentator summed it up by saying "if they start next season like they played today, who knows what they can achieve...", but unfortunately they've been saying that for the last 11 trophy-less seasons... I reckon the biggest changes Jono Gibbs will need to make are mental ones, because the talent and structures are there

As a Leinster supporter, congrats to Ulster! Played very well tonight! Great send off for Pienaar! It is a pity to see him leave!

Ulster ran out 17-13 victors over Leinster in this PRO12 clash from the Kingspan Stadium. The home side got off to a flying start as Roger Wilson crashed over the whitewash after just 9 minutes of play. They continued to lead for the remainder of the game thanks to penalties from Paddy Jackson and another try for Andrew Trimble. Leinster were awarded a penalty try after serious pressure at scrum time and it began to get a bit nervy for Ulster. However, in the end, they had enough ability to see out the result and finish the season on a high note. Special mention for Ruan Pienaar whose incredible seven year spell at Ulster came to an end today.
