All over at Waikato stadium, as the home side in the end have run out convincing winners. This is a defeat that will sting Auckland, as they are now adrift of leaders Wellington with games fast running out. However this stunning Waikato performance puts them right back in the play off frame, and if they continue to play like this they will fear playing no side. TRY WAIKATO! The 6th of the day from the home sode, and its man of the moment Renata who steals over for the score. He then converts his own try to give his side a commanding lead entering the final minutes of the game.

That try secured the bonus point for the away side, can they salvage even more from the game with less than 15 minutes remaining.

TRY AUCKLAND! Now its the away sides turn to hit straight back. Auckland forwards roll a maul to the Waikato line, and Moli is driven over from the pick and go. Weepu converts.

TRY WAIKATO! As they have so often done in this game, Waikato hit straight back with a score. scrum half Weber crosses for his second of the night after powerful work from the forwards. Renata scores from the tee to add the extras.

TRY AUCKLAND! Great move from Auckland, allowing the man who has just come on to the pitch, Vince Aso, to race down the line and score in the corner. Weepu again though cannot convert. 11 points in this one with 20 minutes to go.

The Waikato pack is penalised and Weepu has a shot at goal. The ball cannons off the post, and is knocked on by a Waikato man, giving Auckland an attacking scrum 5 yards out. Great opportunity for the away side here.

Slower start to this half, both sides not doing much with ball in hand at the moment here. Plenty of kicking as the teams feel each other out again at the beginning of the half.

Auckland looking for a crucial score before half time, looked as though Tuipulotu had crossed for a second but the T.M.O adjudges the ball was lost forward. Scrum five however to Auckland for a previous Waikato infringement.
