Matt Vant Leven was born in New Zealand and plays as a loose forward for Waikato in the ITM Cup. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Chiefs in 2011. His impressive ITM Cup performances have seen him named in the team's Wider Training Squad for the 2013 Super Rugby season. Matt is a hard-hitting loose forward who is in his third year with the Waikato team. He played his earlier rugby in the Bay of Plenty and was part of the Steamers squad before moving to the Waikato in 2010.
